A Sustainable Environmental Solutions programme, sponsored by CNH New Holland (CNH), facilitated by ISAP India Foundation, and implemented by Lalgudi Thendral Farmer Producer Company Ltd., was inaugurated at Lalgudi in Tiruchi distric recently.
The initiative seeks to promote sustainable crop residue management through the use of raker, baler, and a 50 HP tractor. It would help reduce crop residue burning, protect the environment, and generate additional income opportunities for farmers, an official release said.
The programme was inaugurated by Kavitha Sah, CSR Head, CNH. Naveen Jha, Director – Business Development, ISAP India Foundation; Sowrna Lakshmi, Deputy Director – Agri Business, I. P. Sudhakar, Dean (in-charge), Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute, Kumulur; and Annamalai, Chairman, Lalgudi Thendral Farmer Producer Company, were present.
