Crossing roads a challenge for pedestrians at Ukkadam junction in Coimbatore

With the new Terminal I at the Ukkadam bus stand set to open soon, members of the public have called on the authorities to provide pedestrian crossing facilities at the junction near the bus stand.

The Ukkadam junction records movement of pedestrians and vehicles as it connects Perur–Selvapuram Road, Oppanakara Street and Sungam Road. The up ramp of the Ukkadam flyover begins at the junction, while the down ramp lands near the newly constructed Terminal I of the bus stand.
