Activists, students and members of various organisations staged a demonstration at Dharna Chowk in Hyderabad on Sunday (October 11) protesting against the police crackdown on protesters in New Delhi.

Addressing the gathering, Ibrahim of the Disha Students Organisation criticised the Union Home Ministry and Delhi Police over the measures taken to prevent protests at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. He alleged that the deployment of security personnel, restrictions on public transport and suspension of mobile internet services were aimed at suppressing democratic dissent.
