Awareness programme
Srivilliputhur Kalasalingam University, Green Army Club, and ECE students jointly conducted an awareness programme on International Clean and Green Energy Day at the Panchayat Union Primary School in Kundampatti village, Varaganur Panchayat, Tenkasi district.
During the programme, students explained the importance of renewable energy in mitigating the impact of climate change and protecting the environment. Games were conducted for the schoolchildren, and prizes and fruit saplings were distributed to the winners.

SSM Institute of Engineering and Technology (SSMIET), Dindigul, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Symbiosis Institute of Digital and Telecom Management (SIDTM), Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune.
It was signed by C. A. Abhijit Chirputkar, director, SIDTM, and D. Senthil Kumaran, principal, SSMIET.
It aims to promote cooperation in joint research activities, faculty and student exchange programmes, skill development, and knowledge sharing, with a focus on emerging technologies and industry-oriented learning.
During the event, officials stated that the collaboration would facilitate knowledge exchange, enhance practical exposure for students, and encourage collaborative research initiatives.
Competitions held
Indian Knowledge Systems Cell of V. V. Vanniaperumal College for Women, Virudhunagar, along with Inner Wheel Club, organises competitions.

To promote Indian Heritage and Culture, Indian Knowledge Systems Cell of V. V. Vanniaperumal College for Women, Virudhunagar, in collaboration with Inner Wheel Club, Virudhunagar, conducted various competitions. Totally 270 students took part in these competitions. The members of Inner Wheel Club and principal S. Cinthana were present and honoured the winners with prizes.
In another event, V. V. Vanniaperumal College for Women, Virudhunagar, organised VEEQUBE Fun Fair – 2026. Students participated by setting up creative stalls that included a variety of games, fun activities, food items, handicrafts, and novelty items. Cultural performances were also held.

Speaking at the event, Principal S. Saravanan highlighted the role of environmental education in promoting sustainable development.
Associate Professor P. Ravichandran emphasised the importance of tree plantation, reduction of single-use plastic, environmental conservation, and climate change awareness.
More than 150 students actively participated.

Department of Hindi and Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal (ANJA) College, Sivakasi, in collaboration with the Central Hindi Directorate, Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi, organised a three-day national seminar on ‘The Role of Hindi in the Preservation and Propagation of Indian Cultural Identity’.
It aims to explore the significance of Hindi in preserving and promoting India’s rich cultural heritage.
Over 150 faculty members, researchers, and students across India participated.
Delegates from various colleges presented papers. ANJA College students performed Tamil Nadu folk dances.
Principal distributed the certificates to the participants.

Students from Nadar Saraswathi College of Arts and Science participated in various events and secured a total prize amount of ₹75,000.
MP Thangathamizhselvan and DMK Theni district secretary K. S. Saravanakumar, MLA, Periyakulam Constituency, were present.
Quiz competition
A quiz on competition ‘Operation Sindoor’ was held at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya school in Sivaganga district under the Pariksha Pe Charcha initiative.
Students from various schools across the Sivaganga district participated.

Guest lecture
A guest lecture was conducted at Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi, to enhance students’ knowledge of emerging technologies and current industry practices. Students from various departments participated.
Selwyn Theogarajan Natarajan, Director at BNY Mellon, was the chief guest.
The guest lecture was delivered on the topic ‘Applied AI: Perspective on Current Trends in Software Development’. It highlighted how artificial intelligence is transforming modern software development through automation, intelligent systems, and data-driven decision-making.
During this session Mr.Selwyn Theogarajan Natarajan shared real-world industry insights, recent trends, and career guidance.

During the meeting, Principal K. Krishnaveni emphasised the importance of seamless communication between parents and teachers.

A seminar titled ‘Let’s Create the Path to Success’ was held at the Tamil Nadu Government’s Integrated Competitive Examination Training Centre in Oddanchatram.
Tamil Nadu Lokayukta member V. Ramaraj and Tamil Nadu State Information Commissioner V.P.R. Ilambarithi were special guests.
Speaking at the event, V. Ramaraj urged the rural students in the Oddanchatram area to utilise this opportunity and join this centre.
He mentioned that education for students and employment opportunities for youth are the two pillars of social progress.
He also requested that the Central Government upgrade the Gandhigram Rural Institute, which is currently a deemed university, to a central university. He stated that this would greatly benefit students from Dindigul district and others.
