MoUs signed

Kalasalingam University, Srivilliputtur, signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Tucker Motors Private Limited, Madurai, and SEAS Marine Service LLP, Chennai.

Chancellor K. Sridharan presided. The Chancellor, Manager of Tucker Motors Manoj and Founder and Managing Director of SEAS Pitchaimuthu Mari Pandi signed the MoUs.

It aims to support student internships, training programmes, industry-guided projects, and faculty development activities.

In another event, a 15-day residential admission test training was held at Kalasalingam University for Government School students of Virudhunagar district to get admission to the National Institute of Technology, Indian Institutes of Technology and other engineering colleges.

Collector N.O. Sukhaputra inaugurated.

Speaking at the event, the Collector said that students should get trained, work hard, score high marks in entrance exams of top engineering institutes and get admission.

He adds, “Daily opinions and suggestions about the training should be given to the officials who visit the classrooms.”

A total of 80 students participated.

Speaking at the event, chief guest S. M. Mathivadhani, advocate, Madras High Court, stressed the need for students to be more vigilant towards their life ahead. She also threw light on the female child infanticide and asked the girls to come up in their life in a great way.

Guest of Honour K. Ilamakezhan, DMK chief executive committee member, Madurai south, spoke on bringing up rural students, which would help them in their future life.

Editorial Manager of Hello FM A.J. Raja Seker stressed the impact of news in today’s context and he asked the students to have a positive attitude towards life.

Citizen Consumer Club of Sri S. Ramasamy Naidu Memorial College, Sattur, celebrated National Consumer Day in collaboration with Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department.

Competitions were conducted and the winners were awarded prizes by S. Subramaniam, State president of Consumer Protection Service Centre, Sivakasi, and R. Amarnath, District Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Officer.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Amarnath advised the students to be aware of their rights as consumers.

In another event, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell of Sri S. Ramasamy Naidu Memorial College, Sattur, jointly organised a One-Day Short-Term Training Programme on ‘Intellectual Property Rights: An Awareness and Practice’. It aimed to enhance awareness of IPR in academic research and innovation.

At the event, resource person R. Arun Kumar, Assistant Professor and certified patent agent from Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam, spoke on the fundamentals and practical aspects of Intellectual Property Rights.
