Communist Party of India State secretary M. Veerapandian on Friday said that the DMK alliance was a self-respecting alliance.
Speaking to reporters at Pennagaram, Mr. Veerapandian said that CPI welcomed the ₹5,000 provided to 1.31 crore women family heads. No other State had implemented the scheme like this and the DMK alliance will win in the Assembly elections. DMK will come to power with a majority. People of Tamil Nadu do not like dividing people on caste and religion. The Union Government did not allocate funds for Tamil Nadu properly. The funds demanded by BJP and its alliance ruling States were provided by the Union Government promptly, Mr. Veerapandian alleged.
