Out of 17 Assembly constituencies in Salem and Namakkal districts combined, the DMK got highest postal ballot votes in nine seats, the AIADMK in seven and the TVK in one seat, respectively.
Out of 11 Assembly constituencies in Salem district, the DMK got highest postal ballot votes in five seats: 1,009 votes in Salem North, 559 in Salem South, 813 in Veerapandi, 893 in Yercaud (R), and 1,144 in Gangavalli (R). But, the DMK lost their seats in these constituencies.
