
A case was registered against Jartab for offences under Sections 22 (C) and 21 (B) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

The Bantwal Rural police have arrested an alleged drug peddler, Mohammed Amir Jartab, a resident of Kengeri in Bengaluru, and have seized narcotic drugs worth over ₹1 crore from him.
In a press note, the police said that, on a tip-off, a car heading towards Mangaluru from Hassan was stopped by a team of police personnel from the Bantwal Rural police Station in the early hours of Sunday. The police found 538.63 grams of MDMA worth ₹53.86 lakh and 99.12 grams of cocaine worth ₹49.56 lakh in the car.
