Four individuals, including three drug consumers, were arrested by the Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) Force, Telangana, in connection with an MDMA supply network linked to an earlier case involving peddler Sai Varshith.
The arrested were identified as Guda Surendhar Varma, B Vishnu, Deeti Vaibhav and Medipally Praneeth Reddy. The action was taken as a follow-up to the earlier case registered against Sai Varshith, with EAGLE Force teams picking up the suspects from their respective residences.
According to officials, Surendhar Varma, Vishnu and Vaibhav were regular consumers who had been purchasing MDMA from Varshith for the past one year at a price of ₹5,000 per gram. All three tested positive for drug consumption during medical examination. The fourth accused, Praneeth Reddy, though tested negative, played a key role in facilitating financial transactions for the drug trade.
Investigation revealed that Varshith had closed his Canara Bank account in August 2025 after a case was registered against him at the Domalguda police station in an attempt to evade police surveillance. Despite this, he allegedly continued his illegal activities by collecting cash from trusted customers and routing the money through Praneeth Reddy.
Police said Praneeth Reddy, a childhood friend of Varshith, transferred the collected money from his bank account to accounts and QR code scanners provided by a Nigerian drug supplier identified as Mary, also known as Tamiya. This financial arrangement allegedly enabled the continued procurement of MDMA and helped sustain the illegal operation.
