Flying squad official had seized ₹65 lakh cash at Congress candidate Oorvasi Amirtharaj’s house at Ganesh Nager in Thoothukudi recently.

As the polling concluded in the State, the total amount of cash seized in Thoothukudi district, allegedly intended for distribution to voters, stood at ₹2.49 crores.
The seizures were made from around 45 locations in the district, officials said.
