Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) high-level administrative committee chief coordinator K.A. Sengottaiyan on Wednesday (February 11, 2026) said entry passes would be issued to authorised functionaries for the party’s meeting to be held at Seelanaickenpatti on February 13. He advised the general public to watch the event on television and social media platforms. Children, elderly persons, pregnant women and those with health issues have been advised not to attend the gathering.
Mr. Sengottaiyan, along with general secretary N. Anand alias ‘Bussy’ Anand, inspected the arrangements at the venue for the functionaries’ meeting, which will be addressed by party founder Vijay. They reviewed the seating arrangements, security measures, entry and exit points, and ambulance access routes, and held discussions with party functionaries regarding coordination.
Addressing the media, Mr. Sengottaiyan said all arrangements were being made in coordination with the police and appreciated the functionaries for completing the preparations within a short time. Responding to queries, he said the party believed in democratic principles and added that adequate security measures were being put in place to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
Preparations are under way at the 10-acre venue, and participation has been restricted to 5,000 functionaries.
