Espionage case: police probe how accused captured photos, videos in Visakhapatnam Naval Base

The Counter Intelligence Cell (CIC) of the Intelligence Department, which is investigating the fresh espionage-cum-honey trap case, are trying to find out how the Navy personnel managed to get the photos and videos of the Visakhapatnam Naval Base.

Intelligence police are investigating how the accused took the mobile phones into the Eastern Naval Command, captured photos and videos of strategic locations and allegedly shared them with the agents recruited by Pakistan’s intelligence. Electronic gadgets seized from the suspects are being examined.

Police are verifying bank transactions and social media groups to find out whether any others were involved in the conspiracy. A detailed investigation is under way.
