Ex-servicemen association seeks help from public for reconstructing its retaining wall damaged in heavy rain in 2025

The Dakshina Kannada District Ex-servicemen Association has sought help from the public for reconstructing a retaining wall of its building that was damaged following heavy rain on May 28, 2025.

Talking to reporters here on Thursday, Group Captain (retired) Sudhir G. Amin, a member of the association, said the retaining wall overlooking the sports ground of St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University) was constructed at a cost of ₹25 lakh by the association in 2023. Due to heavy rain on May 28, a portion of the retaining wall collapsed. The damage has exposed the foundation of the building, and there was a threat that the whole building could collapse.
