Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar has stressed the need to expedite the execution of renewal energy (RE) projects so that they are completed as per the committed schedules.
Addressing a review meeting at the Secretariat, Mr. Ravi Kumar suggested to the officials to talk to the investors and ensure that they commissioned the projects without any delay. He also urged the stakeholders to immediately bring any ground-level challenges to the government’s attention for prompt resolution.
The Minister promised full support to the investors, including land facilitation, infrastructure, and necessary clearances. He instructed the officials to proactively eliminate bottlenecks and ensure a seamless implementation environment.
Further, Mr. Ravi Kumar stated that the solar, wind, and pumped storage projects being developed in the Rayalaseema region were poised to set national benchmarks. He expressed confidence that upon completion of the projects, Andhra Pradesh would emerge as a leader in renewable energy generation in India, especially in battery energy storage capacity.
Senior officials from the Energy Department and representatives of Brookfield-Axis Energy and other companies were present.
