Dr. Vijaya Sree Memorial Cancer Hospital’s Chief Medical Officer Loknath Tripathi on World Cancer Day stressed that women above 40 years should get themselves screened for cancer as early detection of the disease and proper medication will enable them to lead a normal life. He was speaking at a cancer awareness programme held within the hospital premises at Mangalampalem on Wednesday. Sri Gurudeva Charitable Trust founder Raparthi Jagadish Babu shared that the hospital had organised 50 cancer screening camps over the last four weeks in the North Andhra districts and recommended treatment at nominal fees for needy women at the hospital established two years ago with a motto of service.
