Final electoral rolls published for North East Teachers Constituency

The final electoral rolls for the North East Teachers Constituency was published on Tuesday, with a total of 31,214 voters, comprising 18,194 men and 13,020 women, registered, according to Regional Commissioner (Kalaburagi Division) and Electoral Registration Officer Zaheera Naseem.

In a press note, she said that the final voter list can be inspected by the public at the offices of all Deputy Commissioners, municipal corporations, Assistant Commissioners and Tahsildars within the constituency.

The final rolls have been prepared by treating November 1, 2025, as the qualifying date, in accordance with the directions of the Election Commission of India.

As per guidelines, polling stations have been set up at intervals of 16 km, with a minimum of 30 voters per polling station. Accordingly, 145 polling stations have been set up across the constituency based on the voter strength.

Ms. Naseem said that the registration process for teachers is continuous and that the voter list can be revised further if additional eligible voters are enrolled before the last date for filing nomination papers after the elections are notified.

Kalaburagi district accounts for the highest number of voters in the constituency, with 8,936 registered voters, including 4,818 men and 4,118 women.

Yadgir district has the lowest number of voters, with a total of 2,020, including 1,398 men and 622 women.

Among other districts, Ballari has 3,302 voters, comprising 1,775 men and 1,527 women, while Vijayanagara has 3,207 voters, including 2,114 men and 1,093 women.

Bidar district has 6,130 voters, with 3,337 men and 2,793 women. Koppal has 2,662 voters, including 1,805 men and 857 women, and Raichur has 4,957 voters, comprising 2,947 men and 2,010 women.

Although the final electoral rolls have been published, eligible teachers can still enroll themselves until the last date fixed for filing nomination papers once the elections are announced.

All Deputy Commissioners in the Kalaburagi Division, the Commissioners of Kalaburagi and Ballari municipal corporations, Assistant Commissioners and Tahsildars have been designated as Assistant Electoral Registration Officers.

Appealing to eligible teachers to make use of the opportunity, Ms. Naseem urged them to enroll with the required documents and actively participate in strengthening the democratic process.
