Fire mishap: Two cars parked outside marriage hall reduced to ashes in Bidar

Two cars were completely gutted in a fire mishap at Narayanpur village of Basavakalyan taluk in Bidar district on February 9.

The incident occurred at a private kalyana mantap during an engagement ceremony. The two cars, which were parked in front of the convention hall, reportedly caught fire under mysterious circumstances and were reduced to ashes within minutes.

On receiving information, the Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot and attempted to douse the flames. However, by the time the fire was brought under control, both vehicles had been completely destroyed.

Both the cars belonged to residents of Shahapur taluk in Yadgir district.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. The Basavakalyan town police have visited the spot and registered a case.
