The EVM strong room was opened in the presence of representatives of all major political parties at the Elections Department Office in Reddiayarpalayam.

The Elections Department has completed the first randomisation of EVMs and VVPATs to be used in the April 9 Assembly elections.
The first randomisation of First Level Checking (FLC)-passed EVMs and VVPATs is done by the District Election Officer to allocate EVMs and VVPATs to each of the Assembly constituency.
