The Department of Fisheries will auction on January 5 fishing rights for a lease of five years in Pilavukal Periyar dam, Kovilaar dam, Kullursandai dam, and Irukkangudi dam in Virudhunagar district.
In a statement, Virudhunagar Collector N.O. Sukhaputra said the minimum lease amount had been fixed for the four dams and had been uploaded on the website www.tntenders.gov.in
