Flying squad seizes ₹13 lakh in Andipatti

The Flying Squad seized ₹13 lakh in Andipatti in Theni district on Saturday alone. Of the total amount, ₹12 lakh was seized from a man who was allegedly carrying ‘moi’ amount collected during a temple festival.

During a routine check conducted at Rajendra Nagar, the Flying Squad intercepted Ilayaraja from Ammachiyapuram. It was found that he was carrying ₹12 lakh. He told the officials that the amount was the ‘moi’ contributions made during a festival held at the Ayyanar Temple near Kadamalaikundu. However, as there were no proper documents, the Flying Squad seized the amount.
