Beneficiaries of affordable flats at Indiramma Housing towers in Hyderabad (CURE) would be provided with an opportunity to inspect the quality of construction of the proposed apartments.
Telangana Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced this after laying foundation stone for the towers in Red Hills, Nampally, on Tuesday (September 29, 2026). Four towers would be constructed there over five acres of land.
Each of the towers will have ground plus 10 floors, with 12 flats in each of the floors. The Housing Minister assured that the construction would be completed and keys would be handed over to the beneficiaries within a year.
Nampally is one of the 16 Assembly constituencies in the Core Urban Region (CURE) where the government would build the housing towers under pilot project basis. Draws of lots were held in the last week of the previous month to select the beneficiaries and people in the waiting list. Carpet area and build up area of each of the flats in 400 sft and 528 sft respectively. While the government provides a subsidy of ₹5 lakh per flat, each beneficiary has to contribute ₹6 lakh in four installments.
Lands were identified in 20 constituencies and the tender process was completed in at least 16 constituencies. Mr. Reddy said that contractors are ready to begin the works.
After laying the foundation stone, another round of draw of lots was held to allot flat numbers of the beneficiaries of the houses in Nampally who paid the first installment of ₹1 lakh. The State Housing Board’s Vice Chairman V.P. Gautham said that they would be handed over the final allotment letters too.
The Minister said that the Housing Department will take the onus of connecting sewage lines of the towers to the main line.
Minorities Affairs Minister Mohd Azharuddin, MP Anil Kumar Yadav, Nampally MLA Majid Hussain, Hyderabad Collector Priyanka Ala and others were present on the occasion,.
