The Kadapa police arrested four persons, including two minors, for their alleged involvement in a house break-in case in Yerraguntla on December 21, 2025.
The arrested were identified as Y. Vijay Paul (19), Shaik Gaibuvalli (19) and two minors belonging to Chilamakuru village of Yerraguntla mandal.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Nachiket Vishwanath Shelke told the media that the boys were addicted to vices and resorted to theft for making quick money.
According to the police, the group allegedly scouted the residence of grocery merchant D. Ramesh Shetti and broke into his house on December 21. They fled with gold ornaments and other valuables. Based on a complaint filed by the victim, the police registered a case and tracked the crime to the local youths, who were picked up on the Muddanur-Kadapa road, on Tuesday.
The gold ornaments weighing 210 grams were recovered from the accused.
