Garbage in Srisailam forest will be cleared by April, says official

Swacch Andhra Corporation chairman Kommareddy Pattabhiram on Thursday (February 05, 2026) said that garbage in the Srisailam forest area will be cleared by April this year.

Mr. Pattabhiram, along with the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple trust board chairman Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu and forest officials, inspected the garbage in the Srisailam forest area. Forest officials urged Mr. Pattabhiram to intervene and ensure clearance of the garbage as it is posing serious threat to the environment.

Assuring that the issue would be resolved by April, Mr. Pattabhiram said that the Corporation would ensure cooperation in making the temple town a Swachh one.
