Gas agencies told to ensure proper cylinder supply

Deputy Commissioner Harshal Bhoyar has directed gas agencies to supply filled cylinders to consumers directly and ensure that there are no complaints about supply.

He was addressing a meeting in Yadgir on Wednesday.

Mr. Bhoyar said that there is no shortage in domestic cylinders in the district. Consumers should not panic on hearing false rumours.

“Gas agencies should supply cylinders to consumers directly without any hindrance. The dealer will be dealt with according to the provisions of the Essential Commodities Act and Petroleum Products Storage and Utilisation Act if they are found at fault,” he said.

Deputy Director of Food and Civil Supplies Somshekhar and representatives of all 18 gas agencies were present.
