GCC acts on complaints from Meenakshi Nagar in Porur

Nearly a month after residents flagged unsafe open trenches and stalled civic work in Meenakshi Nagar, Porur, authorities carried out partial restoration work on Thursday. Residents had complained on April 10 about open trenches, slow progress and safety risks due to lack of proper barricades. The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) later said necessary action had been taken, including completion of stormwater drain work in the locality.
