The Security Solutions business of Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) has secured contracts from GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited (GVIAL) and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to deploy integrated security solutions at the upcoming Bhogapuram International Airport. Valued at approximately ₹6 crore, the project aims to strengthen security infrastructure at the greenfield airport.
The comprehensive contract encompasses advanced threat detection and access management systems. Godrej will deploy blocking bollards, boom barriers, under vehicle scanning systems, turnstiles, swing lane barriers, explosive vapour and liquid detectors, non-linear junction detectors, bomb disposal suits, and real-time viewing systems.
Pushkar Gokhale, Business Head of GEG’s Security Solutions, said that securing the mandate from GMR and L&T validates the company’s technological capabilities and execution excellence in enabling secure airport operations. The initiative involves extensive collaboration across the infrastructure value chain, including airport authorities and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
GEG has previously supplied security systems to major aviation hubs across the country, including the airports in Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, Ahmedabad, and Kochi. The Bhogapuram international airport further consolidates Godrej’s footprint in safeguarding nationally significant assets, a release by the company said on Thursday.
