Graduation Day of Government Law College held

Over 1,000 law graduates received their degrees at the second graduation day of the Government Law College, Madurai, held at the Tamukkam Convention Centre in Madurai on Saturday.

The event was presided over by Minister for Energy Resources and Law R. Nirmalkumar, Madras High Court Judges Justice A.D. Jagadish Chandira, Justice C. Saravanan and Justice B. Murugesan. The dignitaries presented degrees to a total of 1,010 graduates who completed their graduation and postgraduation.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Nirmal Kumar said the State government was taking the necessary steps to enhance basic facilities in all government law colleges and the law college hostels in Tamil Nadu. He urged the graduates to work hard and be honest in their work.

Justice Jagadish Chandira advised the graduates to keep learning. He told them to thoroughly read judgments and be updated. He urged them to make the most of the opportunities.

Retired Madras High Court Judge and Chairman of Convenor Committee of Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU) Justice V. Bharathidasan, Senior Advocate and member of Convenor Committee of TNDALU E. Om Prakash, Director of Legal Studies Gowri Ramesh, and others were present. Government Law College Principal P. Kumaran welcomed the gathering.
