Vijayawada Catholic Diocese Bishop Telagathoti Joseph Raja Rao said that the 102nd Gunadala Lourdu Matha festival will be celebrated from February 9 to 11 at Gunadala Shrine.
The Bishop, along with Catholic Diocese monsignor Muvvala Prasad, Gunadala temple rector Eleti Willian Jayaraju, vicar general M. Gabriel and others launched the posters of the festival at the Social Service Centre here on Monday.
The Gunadala Utsava Committee is making arrangements for the devotees attending the festival. Bishops from different places will perform prayers and deliver messages, the Bishop said.
Devotees from Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and other places in Andhra Pradesh will perform special prayers during the utsavams, the organisers said. The temple management is making arrangements for the supply of drinking water, milk for children, and medicines in case of emergencies, said Mr. Joseph Raja Rao.
Mr. William Jayaraju said the APSRTC will run special buses for the utsavams, and the church management was coordinating with Revenue, Police, A.P.-Transco, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and other departments to make the event a smooth one.
