Food Safety Department officials seized two tonnes of gutkha from a warehouse at T. Goundanpalayam near Tiruchengode in Namakkal district on Saturday evening. The search was based on a tip-off. The Kokkarayanpettai police registered a case and were inquiring with the warehouse owner, identified as Thangavel, and his family members.
