GVMC’s final standing committee meeting approves 293 agenda items

With the tenure of the present council concluding on March 17, the last standing committee meeting of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) was held on Friday, at the GVMC office in the presence of Standing Committee members and GVMC officials.

Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor and Standing Committee Chairperson, Peela Srinivasa Rao said that a total of 294 agenda items were placed before the Standing Committee, including 193 items in the main agenda and 101 table agenda items. After detailed discussions, the committee members approved all items in the main agenda. Of the 101 table agenda items, one item was deferred and the remaining were approved. Thus, 293 out of 294 agenda items were approved by the committee members.
