Vijay Mahantesh Danammanavar, Deputy Commissioner, Haveri district, received the the Best District Election Officer award in Karnataka.
Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot presented Mr Danammanavar with the award, during the National Voters’ Day celebration held in Bengaluru on January 25.
Renuka M., the tahsildar of Hirekerur taluk, was awarded the Best Assistant Election Registration Officer, and teacher Gudappa Lachammavar, a Booth Level Officer, for work in Haveri Assembly constituency.
Chief Electoral Officer V. Anbukumar was among those present at the event.
