‘Healthy order book is a strong foundation for BHEL’s growth’

Backed by a healthy order book, expanding business opportunities, sustained modernisation, and capacity augmentation, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL), Tiruchi Complex, is poised to play a significant role in ensuring the country’s self-reliance and energy security, its Executive Director K. Ashok said here on Saturday.

Mr. Ashok was speaking at the Independence Day celebrations after hoisting the national flag and taking the ceremonial salute at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kailasapuram Township. He described the healthy order book as a strong foundation for the unit’s future growth.

He expressed confidence that BHEL Tiruchi would meet the expectations of its customers through efficient manufacturing, uncompromising quality, timely delivery, and continuous cost optimisation.

BHEL, he said, played a strategic role in India’s journey towards becoming a self-reliant and developed nation. The Tiruchi Complex was continuously strengthening and modernising its manufacturing infrastructure to meet emerging opportunities.

Projects entrusted to BHEL were not mere business opportunities but a responsibility to contribute to the nation’s growth and energy security, he said.

Continued efforts would be taken to create a greener workplace, including large-scale plantation drives, and enhancement of green cover across the BHEL premises, he said.

Mr. Ashok inaugurated a newly constructed 12,000 sq. ft. flood-lit, artificial turf playground for the benefit of BHEL employees, and their family members at the BHEL Community Centre, according to a BHEL release.
