The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall forecast in 14 Telangana districts for Monday (September 21).
According to the IMD’s latest bulletin, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar and Nagarkurnool districts.
Additionally, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds are very likely to occur at isolated places in Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal districts.
Hyderabad city and its surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see a generally cloudy sky. “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with intense spells at times, accompanied by gusty winds, are very likely to occur in the city. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 31C and 25C respectively,” the bulletin said.
