Andhra Pradesh Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy on Friday (October 9, 2026) said the Transport Department had taken special measures to resolve technical issues faced by people accessing its services through the VAHAN and SARATHI portals of the Parivahan platform.

Speaking to the media, he said the department was coordinating with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to address issues relating to vehicle ownership transfers, driving licence renewals, Aadhaar data mismatches, registration of High-Security Registration Plate (HSRP) details and slow server response.

The Minister said a dedicated control room (9281607001) had been set up at the Transport Department headquarters and would function round the clock. People can report their problems through phone calls or WhatsApp messages.

He said the issue faced by applicants while selecting the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) office concerned during vehicle ownership transfers had been resolved. Those whose Aadhaar details did not match their driving licence records could upload other required documents online and apply for licence renewal, he added.

The Minister said owners of older vehicles whose HSRP details were not appearing on the VAHAN portal during the vehicle fitness process were advised to approach the Regional Transport Office (RTO) concerned to get the details updated. Those who need to install new HSRPs can contact an authorised dealer of the respective vehicle manufacturer, he said.

Mr. Ramprasad Reddy said the facility to take the learners’ licence test from home had been introduced on September 27 to make transport services more convenient for the public. As of October 8, a total of 2,620 people had cleared the test through this facility, and 138 candidates had failed, he said.

He said the government was committed to making transport services more accessible and transparent, adding that officials concerned should continue coordinating to resolve technical issues and ensure the smooth delivery of services.
