YSR Congress Party’s State Secretary and the party’s Palasa district in-charge Yenni Dhanunjaya Rao on Sunday urged the government to appoint more number of nephrologists, senior doctors and medical staff to serve the kidney patients at kidney research centre and area hospitals of Srikakulam district.

He stated in a release that the kidney patients were facing many problems with the lack of sufficient number of doctors and staff at Palasa Kidney research centre established during Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure.

Mr. Rao submitted a memorandum over the issues of Palasa region to Mr. Jagan in Vijayawada a couple of days ago. He accused the government of ignoring the issues of kidney patients, workers of Palasa cashew factories and irrigation projects of the region.

He hoped that the party would retain all seats in Palasa constituency whenever the government would hold local body elections. He said that the arrest of former Minister Sidiri Appala Raju in an accident case would be a big set back for ruling TDP in next local body elections.
