The police have arrested a history-sheeter for allegedly making threatening phone calls to ruling All India N R Congress legislator representing the reserved constituency of Embalam, E. Mohandoss, in Puducherry.
Police identified the accused as Prabhakaran, a resident of Seliamedu. The accused was involved in several criminal cases registered at the Bahour police station. He has been remanded to judicial custody. The arrest was made after a supporter of the legislator made a formal complaint with the police.
