Hosiery and garment manufacturers in Tiruppur who supply to the domestic market have decided to increase the prices by 5 % from January 1, 2026.

According to a press release from the South India Hosiery Manufacturers’ Association, since the cost of raw materials, stitching, labour, processing, electricity, rentals, and transportation have increased in the last two years, the association members have decided to increase the price of hosiery garments and all garments made in Tiruppur for the local market by 5 % from 2026. The prices were last revised in 2023.

Further, since it is mandatory for the garment manufacturers to pay their raw material suppliers in 45 days, they will not extend credit to distributors, wholesalers and retailers beyond 45 days, the Association said.
