India won five gold medals in the World Table Tennis (WTT) Youth Star Contender held in Doha on Sunday. Syndrela Das and Divyanshi Bhowmick emerged winners in U-19 girls’ doubles, P.B. Abhinandh and Divyanshi bagged gold in U-19 mixed doubles. Ahona Ray won the U-15 girls’ singles. Aditya Das and Ankolika Chakraborty finished first in U-15 mixed doubles, while Akash Rajavelu and Rishaan Chattopadhyay came first in U-15 boys’ doubles.
Earlier, in the WTT Youth Contender in Doha last week, India won two gold medals. Syndrela Das won the u-19 girls’ singles while Sreejani Chakraborty clinched gold in u-15 girls’ singles.
