Inflammatory post about Hindus, Bajpe police arrest accused

The Mangaluru City police have arrested a person accused of posting an inflammatory content about Hindus on an Instagram page.

Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy, in a video statement, said the inflammatory post about Hindus was posted on the Instagram page of Team SDPI 2025. The accused had made the post by sitting in Saudi Arabia. The Bajpe police had registered the case on October 11, 2025.

The police said a look-out out notice was issued against Abdul Khader Nehad, 27, a resident of Sajipamunnuru, who was accused posting inflammatory content. He arrived at the Calicut International Airport on Sunday from Saudi Arabia, where he was working. The CISF personnel apprehended him and informed the Bajpe police. The Bajpe Police went to Calicut and took him into custody.

Two arrested

The Kavoor police ve arrested the person, whose video of dancing by holding sword in the hand, was found in a post on Facebook recently.

The police gave names of the accused as Amir Sohail, 28, a resident of Bunder. The police also arrested Sohail’s friend, Suresh, 29, of Kavoor, who had posted the video on his Facebook and Instagram pages.

In a statement, the police said a case was registered by Kavoor police on the story named ‘Vibes’ on the Facebook and Instagram pages of Suresh. In this story, Suresh made use of Sohail’s video. This video was shot by family members of Sohail.

The Kavoor police arrested Sohail and Suresh on Saturday for offences punishable under Sections 352 (2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Sections 4 and 25 (1(B)) of Indian Arms Act, and Section 66 of Information Technology Act. They were produced before the jurisdictional magistrate on Sunday, December 14, who remanded them in judicial custody.

The police said Sohail was accused in two cases of illegal possession of cannabis and a case of causing hurt. He was arrested in one case and was out on bail, the police said.
