Inmate booked for making video call from Parappana Agrahara Central Prison

Police have registered a case against an inmate after a video surfaced on social media showing him making a video call to his wife from inside the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison.

The case was registered based on a complaint lodged by the prison’s Superintendent in charge, Karna B. Kshatri. The accused, identified as Akbar, has been booked under Section 323 (dishonest or fraudulent removal or concealment of property) of the IPC, along with provisions of the Karnataka Prisons Act.
