Interactive workshops make archaeology accessible to students: expert

Ever since the Keeladi excavations began in 2014, interest in why the past matters has been spreading across various demographics, including school students. Beyond what is provided in textbooks on the archaeological sites, students are now visiting the sites and learning about them first-hand through workshops.

Experimental archaeologist Anbazhagan K., a technical staff at the University of Madras, has been conducting workshops for children and adults to decode the basics of archaeology, along with demonstrations to move away from rote learning.
