The Income Tax Department has seized 2,500 grams of gold worth around ₹3 crore allegedly meant for distribution to voters in Thattanchavady where bypoll has been scheduled for October 6. The Election Department has been informed about the seizure by the IT officials. More details are awaited on the seizure, Chief Electoral Officer ASPS Ravi Prakash has said.
