A 43-year-old Jail Warder who fell from terrace of his house in Peraiyur of Madurai district on Friday (February 6, 2026) succumbed to injuries at the hospital.
The police said that the deceased man identified as Gnanamani, while in an inebriated condition, lost balance and fell from the terrace of his house in P. Thottiyapatti.
He sustained head injuries and was rushed to the government hospital at Peraiyur. However, he did not respond to the treatment.
Peraiyur police have registered a case.
