The Railway Kodur Police have booked Jana Sena Party (JSP) MLA Arava Sridhar for allegedly cheating a woman employee at a government department. According to Circle Inspector Chandra Sekhar, a case under sections 318(2), 318(4) and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita was registered against him.
The legislator has been in the news for quite some time for alleged sexual harassment of the employee.
A three-member fact-finding committee constitued by the JSP visited Railway Kodur on Tuesday and sought details from the legislator as well as the party cadre regarding the issue.
The MLA said he would abide by the decision taken by party chief and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan on this issue.
