The most-awaited Kailash Manasarovar Yatra for this year is scheduled to be conducted between June and August, with application verification of tourists being underway. The Yatris will be selected from among applicants through a fair, computer-generated, random and gender-balanced selection process, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) informed on Thursday (April 30, 2026)

According to the MEA, a total of 20 batches, each involving 50 tourists, are scheduled for the pilgrimage. One batch is expected to travel through Uttarakhand crossing over at Lipulekh Pass. While, the latter one will undertake the route of Sikkim crossing over at Nathu La Pass.
