In a significant early setback for the Left Democratic Front (LDF), Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan slipped to the second position in the Dharmadam constituency after completion of the second round of counting on Monday (May 4, 2026).
United Democratic Front (UDF) candidate V.P. Abdul Rasheed surged ahead with a lead of 2,523 votes after nearly two hours of counting, overturning the LDF’s initial advantage in the constituency.
