Loco failure delays train at Nidamangalam

The Tambaram-Bodinayakkanur Express Special (06059) was stopped at Nidamangalam railway station in Tiruvarur district for two hours in the early hours on Sunday following locomotive failure.

Railway sources said the train was in the Tiruvarur-Thanjavur section when it suddenly stopped at the Nidamangalam station around 4.50 a.m. because of loco failure.  A relief locomotive was arranged later and the train left Nidamangalam around 6.45 a.m., the sources added.
