Tamil Nadu u-23 batter K.T.A. Madhava Prasad could not have asked for a better start to the domestic season. Opening alongside S.R. Athish in the match against Rest of India u-23 here, the right-hander made a statement with 174 in the first innings.

Madhava Prasad revealed that the constant support of B. Aparajith, Varun Chakaravarthy and u-23 head coach Guru Kedarnath has helped enhance his skills. “I have improved a lot technically. A lot of people are involved in this journey, including Aparajith anna, Varun anna and Kedarnath anna. Wherever I go, I receive help. Things are coming good,” the 21-year-old said after the third day’s play here.

The camaraderie within the group has also played its part. “Most of the boys have been together for close to 10 years. It gives us a lot of strength because we know each other really well,” added Madhava Prasad.
