Two Class 8 students of Government Higher Primary School, Moodambail, Bantwal taluk, Dakshina Kannada, sold “Aachar Soda”, the soda with mix of mango pickles. A Class 7 student sold buttermilk kept in bottles. Another Class 7 student was quick to sell a “Mallige” of the length of a hand at ₹20 per piece.

These were among the many articles sold during the ‘Makkla Sante’ held at the school premises on March 20. The event was held on the valedictory of the week-long NSS camp of students of Government First Grade College, Vittla, at the school.
