A 62-year-old man allegedly murdered his son in their house at Vadugapatti in Manapparai police station limits in Tiruchi District on Thursday night. The Manapparai police on Friday arrested S. Mariaraj on the charge of killing his son M. Yesudas, 34.
Police sources said Mariaraj, whose wife died 10 years ago, had been staying with his third son Yesudas, a bachelor. A quarrel broke out between Mariaraj, who was inebriated, and his son Yesudas leading to a scuffle between them on Thursday night.
